Aluminum Structural Technicians are expected to learn and refine the following areas as they complete each I-CAR® ProLevel™

ProLevel 1

  • Analysis of structural repair damage
  • Three-dimensional measuring
  • Repair and/or replace outer body panels
  • GMA (MIG) weld training & skills verification
ProLevel 2
  • Straightening structural damage
  • Understand requirements for stationary glass replacement
  • Pillars, rocker panels, rails, front structures, and floor pan replacement
  • Heating, cooling, and air conditioning systems
ProLevel 3
  • Partial replacement of structural parts
  • Develop and follow an appropriate repair plan
  • Steering and suspension systems and angles
  • Strongly encouraged to maintain ASE Structural (B4) certification
  • Receive role-relevant annual training

In order for a business to achieve or maintain Gold Class™ status, Non-Role Reps must complete 6 credit hours of role-relevant training annually by their business's Gold Class renewal date.
