As Educators complete each I-CAR® ProLevel™, they master and refine their skills in the following areas

ProLevel 1

  • Mix, store, and dispose of hazardous materials
  • Remove and Install trim and hardware
  • Identify various vehicle materials, bolt-on parts, and movable glass
  • Perform steel cosmetic straightening and plastic repair
  • Understand the corrosion protection process
  • Use and maintain a spray gun
  • Prepare and prime vehicles and vehicle parts
  • Sand, buff, and detail a refinished vehicle
  • Use PDP-EE Curriculum Program to teach automotive collision repair
ProLevel 2
  • Understand color theory
  • Mix, tint, apply, and blend basecoat/clearcoat and multi-stage materials
  • Complete GMA (MIG) weld steel training
  • Complete squeeze-type resistance spot weld training
  • Diagnose wind noise and water leaks
  • Encouraged to maintain ASE Refinishing (B2) certification
ProLevel 3 Coming Soon
  • Attain certification by your paint manufacturer provider
  • Remove and install welded and adhesively bonded exterior panels on vehicles with no structural damage
  • Complete GMA (MIG) weld skills certification
  • Straighten aluminum cosmetic damage
  • Encouraged to maintain ASE Non-Structural (B3) certification
  • Receive role-relevant annual training
